I was a guest in this lovely little lodge on January 19 and 20/08! It was heaven as far as I was concerned! Very quiet, very clean room with modern bathroom facilities and air-conditioning (the only hotel at this time in Labuan Bajo with air and a swimming pool!). The atmosphere promotes mingling with the other guests as there are no t.v.'s in the rooms. Fine by me! The path to the beach led from the hotel past the swimming, through the garden...lovely! The staff were great, the food great and the "self-serve" bar was very different! Just fill in your room number and name, what you had to drink, on the sheet laying out on the bar and pay when you check out! Awesome! They even ask you what time YOU want to have your meals served! The open space above the rooms where the dining area, bar, and lounging are found are very inviting and you really feel at home. At least I did! I know that I'll return to Flores and would definitely hope that I can get a room at the Eco Lodge! I have to go back....I left a piece of my heart in this gorgeous part of the world!
