My friends and I stayed in the Alis hotel during my july hols in Krabis and we regretted it. First, there were a lot of missing items from one of our bedrooms, such as beach towels, drinks price rate info slip, call directory, "Make Up Room / Do Not Disturb" sign, etc. We went down to the reception to request for the beach towels and were told to return to our rooms first as the person in charged was not around and they would get back to as soon as possible. That didn't happen. Upon returning to the hotel aftera snorkelling trip on our second day, we were pissed as instead of giving us clean towels, they gave us beach towels that firstly, doesn't absorp water well, have a weird + terrible smell (doesn't smell clean to me), for us to bathe with. Our friends staying in another room was given the clean white bath towels. When we went to the chamber maid room at the corner and requested for the bath towels, she told us that all the white bath towels were sent for laundry and they only have beach towels. We told them that we wanted the bath towels and she told us to use the beach towels. I do not understand how could they not have spare bath towels when it's obvious that occupancy rate was less than 50%, and how could a hotel let this kind of thing happen.
Other than this, on the day when we checked in, we requested for a side-to-side room, but they told us it couldn't be done. We were given room 25 & 27, as they said that somebody has already booked for a room and they are assigning room 26 to them when they check in (that wld be on the 2nd day of our stay). We really thought it was so, therefore we just took the rooms. Throughout our stay there, the occupancy rate was clearly less than 50% as we barely see any other tourists other than the few that we usually see. On top of that, room 26 was clearly not occupied by anybody/nobody took that room even on the day we checked out. I'm utterly disappointed with the service Alis Hotel provided as I do not understand why did they not let us have room 26 since it belongs to the same type of room we booked for. The breakfast "buffet" was miserable as they only have toasts, coffee, tea, cereals, pineapple juice, hotdogs (mini, boiled ones), bacons, etc, with the variety being very miserable. No scramble eggs/omelette available. Nevertheless, the lady assigned at the kitchen, provided good service and always put on a smile. Other than that, the rest of the staff were terrible as they were reluctant and unhelpful. Worst hotel i have ever stayed in my life so far. |
