Bali now is preparing itself to be a host of U.N Climate Change Conference. The conference will be held in Nusa Dua from 03 December to 14 December 2007, and will attended by 189 countries with the total number of 10,000 delegation. The conference will have discussion about taking steps to halt natural environment destructions. This is such a serious actions since we know that world climate change cause forests and jungles degradations in its area following deforestation affecting 59 million hectares. In hosting this conference, Indonesian Government estimate to spend Rp. 14 billion (approx about US$ 12,000 million). The opening ceremony of the conference will take place in GWK as a suitable place for conference since it can accommodate thousands of delegates.

There are so many efforts that Indonesian has to be taken to host this conference. The organizing of the conference should be taken seriously since December is peak season for Bali. The place for conference should be well taking care to anticipate of wet season and west high winds during month, especially for outdoor facilities. Arrangement of flight should be well managed since Bali International Airport receive around 5,000-6,000 tourist per day which is still complaining about the seats on inbound flights to island is difficult to obtain, thus preparing the high maximum airport safety as ICAO standard.

The main problem is to prepare the accommodation for the delegates. Bali now has around 50,000 rooms and the delegates will occupy all hotels in Nusa Dua and Tanjung Benoa. Additional rooms will be outlined in hotel in Jimbaran, Sanur, Kuta, Legian and Seminyak. The high standard of security will be ensured using U.N personnel in Nusa Dua Complex in Bali, which will become UN Zone. This event is very important to boast tourism in Indonesia. The successful conference later will assist tourism and economic developing in general.

The tourism industry in Bali is now concerned on how to accommodate those delegates conveniently. Other leisure travelers will find it difficult to have accommodation from 03 to 14 December 2007 and will need to stay on other parts of the island.
