Activities and services in the Kuta area are great and you can use the services in order to avoid haggling with the street venders. The general layout is great and centered around various garden areas as well as the multiple pools and the main beachfront pool with gardens and the palm shaded divide which leads to the beach. On the beach the facilities are excellent including the beach football pitch, the drinks and refreshments as well as some interesting items.
Grand Istana Rama offers superior or deluxe rooms or garden view suites. There are only a few rooms with partial sea views as the hotel has opted to supply the beach front area as a series of communal pool and relaxation areas that everybody can benefit from. All of the rooms have modern décor although from the outside traditional Balinese architecture is displayed with intricate carvings and traditional thatched roofs over the modern building. All of the facilities are well presented including the bathroom, and the furniture as well as the TV and DVD players as well as the air conditioning. The balconies are strategically placed so the grounds are in view and the pool areas which make for a great view when you wake up in the morning.
