Gianyar is located in the center of Bali, as the center of arts and
cultures. The regency spreads on 368 square kilometers with the total population
around 416.728 people. It is bordered with Denpasar on the southwest, Badung on
the west, Bangli and Klungkung on the east. Gianyar Regency is an
agricultural area with its beautiful panorama, rich with ancient remains,
famous for high quality of art and culture.

Gianyar is one of the most popular travel destination in Bali. It takes
around 50 minutes drive to the capital regency. The tourism industry is the
second most economy resources for the regency after agriculture. Paintings,
carvings and furniture are the main industry in Gianyar especially in Mas,
Batuan and Ubud.
