Singaraja is located in the north of the island of Bali and is one of the longest established alternative resort areas of Bali. Located on the north coast you have to take a two hour journey from the airport which will take you through all of the different types of scenery that Bali has to offer including firstly the city and built up areas and then you will enter the rural paddy field areas which are beautiful and give you a feel for the tropical and cultural beauty of the area. You will soon notice the mountains and volcanoes of the island of Bali and as you wind up them you will travel through tropical woodlands and as you pass over the mountains and lakes you will then travel down the mountainside of the north side with some incredible views looking out over north coast around the area of Singaraja. Singaraja offers beautiful white sand beaches and bays, many of which are untouched and with flat turquoise waters and palms offering shade along the beach. As well as this there are plenty of facilities and activities to take part in including some of the islands best diving and all sorts of water sport activities as well as watching dolphins. Most of the Singaraja Hotels are located either on the beach or on the hillside overlooking the bay and the beach area. Either way, the views are wonderful and you will find that generally the Singaraja Hotels have large grounds and are well spread along the beach area making the whole area feel lightly populated with tourists. The restaurants and small bars are also of a high quality and in the Singaraja Hotels you will find that air conditioning, hot and cold water and mini bars as well as satellite television and a private balcony or veranda are all standard in the mid to top end hotels as well as most of the budget Singaraja Hotels.

The facilities offered usually include at least one restaurant and usually a bar which is separate and located overlooking the pool area. Water sports and activities are popular on certain beaches where as other beaches are purely for relaxation, you can go diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaking, sailing, fishing, banana boating as well as paragliding and much more or get involved in some of the land activities which explore the cultural and natural beauty of the surrounding area. Dinning is usually of a very high standard and for those who are more specifically interested in the water sports, there are a number of Singaraja Hotels dedicated to your needs, especially for diving.
