Want to escape from the crowded? Why not try to stay at some hotels in Uluwatu, Bali? The place is calm, peaceful and much different from Kuta, Legian, Sanur or Seminyak. Uluwatu offers you natural environment, beautiful beaches and ocean view from the hill. It is located within easy access from other tourist area on the southern part of Bali. Uluwatu is one of the surfing points in Bali and is the most favorite place for surfers especially during dry season. Suluban Beach and Padang Padang Beach are the two most recommended places to surf.
It is very easy to reach Uluwatu from Kuta or Seminyak. You can rent a motorbike for about Rp 50.000 per day or car for about Rp 150.000 per day. Drive along the bypass to Nusa Dua and turn right at McDonalds’s crossroad. Then follow the main road then turn left at Petrol Station and just drive through the main road. Turn right again after a sign board of Blue Point Bay Villas. Alternatively is by taxi or transport from any hotels in Nusa Dua, Sanur, Kuta, Legian and Seminyak.
Some boutique hotels and villas are available in Uluwatu. Budget accommodations are available. Recommended accommodation are Blue Point Bay Villas, Dreamland Luxury Villas, and Uluwatu Resort. Surfers usually stay for many days at low range hotels along the way to the main road to Uluwatu. If you want to stay in better place, try those villas. Rocky Bungalows is one of mid range accommodation as a choice to stay.
Other Bali hotels around Jimbaran and Uluwatu are Intercontinental Resort Bali, Keraton Jimbaran Resort, Puri Bambu, Sari Segara Resort, Ahimsa Beach Villa, The Jimbaran Bali Villa, Jimbaran Puri Bali, Pat Mase Villas, and The Ritz Carlton Bali.
Restaurants are a few in Uluwatu including Top Rock Cafe, Sunset Grill, Mexican Restaurant but still provides another great experience for beach holiday.
Pura Luhur Uluwatu is one of Bali's holiest and most important temples, located on the southwest of the area. Kecak and Fire Dance are performed everyday around 18:00-19:00. You have to pay around Rp 50.000 to watch those dances. Pura Luhur Uluwatu was built to guard the southwest area and is dedicated to the spirit inside of the sea.
